First Issue of AFP Latin American Newsletter Released
(Feb. 20, 2007) The first issue of Te Informa, AFP’s newsletter for Latinos and all Spanish speakers, is now available.
The first issue has information about the Third Hemispheric Congress on Fundraising–Latin America, a report on the Mexican Center for Philanthropy’s Iberoamericano Third Sector Meeting in October 2006 and a profile of AFP member Annette Candanedo.
Te Informa is an original publication produced by AFP to inform and embrace the association’s Spanish-speaking members and interested nonmembers. It will cover the world of fundraising, bringing readers important news and updates about the profession and the trends and challenges that are affecting it.
“We’re very excited about this new publication that will look at fundraising from a Latin American and Spanish-speaking perspective,” said Paulette Maehara, CFRE, CAE, president and CEO of AFP. “Philanthropy—and AFP’s membership—is growing tremendously in Latin America, and it’s important that AFP be able to reach out to the profession there to not only help support that growth, but also to provide the full array of services that we provide members around the world.”
The newsletter is printed in Spanish and distributed bimonthly. To receive the newsletter, please click here.
