Cathedral High School is a private Catholic college-preparatory school affiliated with the Brothers of Holy Cross. Founded in 1918, it is one of the oldest and largest Catholic high schools in the state of Indiana and has a student body of 1,185 in grades 9 to 12.

Are you someone that loves annual giving?  Do you want to work for a team that values the Annual Fund role?  Cathedral is looking to hire her next director of the school’s annual fund, the Cathedral Fund.  The director’s primary responsibility is the implementation and management of a comprehensive annual giving program and is looking for the right person that is committed to executing on it’s long-term goals. 

He/She is part of a team that executes an integrated cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategy that involves email, direct mail, phone, social media, personal visitation and volunteer engagement, all focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support. 

The director utilizes data to guide long-range/short-range planning for all these areas in the context of growing the annual giving program while supporting the greater advancement and campaign goals of the school.  They will serve as an active prospect identifier, targeting prospects for personal visits and moving annual donors through the donor pyramid into the next giving level.  The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing Raiser's Edge, which tracks gift/financial and biographical information on alumni, friends, and donors. 

Cathedral's philanthropy team is committed to ensuring that the school is a leader among peers as measured externally in terms of donor participation numbers and total dollars raised and internally in terms of clean data, ease of access to data and timely donor stewardship.  They also provide excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our donors. 

The ideal candidate should have at least two years of annual fund (or applicable) experience plus a baccalaureate degree or higher.  They must possess knowledge of fundraising principles and practices and maintain a professional, polished demeanor.  They will be detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills, as well as be independent and a self-starter.
